MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

My passion about therapy largely stems from my own personal therapy journey, as I truly believe I can only take my clients as far as I have gone myself. I have a holistic, strength-based approach to therapy, as I believe we as humans are resilient and each have so many strengths that we can draw on to assist us in achieving our goals.

I don’t buy into the concept of a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy because no two persons are alike. Instead, I tailor therapy to fit your needs by drawing on Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and Psychodynamic interventions. For example, therapy might focus on concrete strategies to assist you in managing symptoms or involve examining patterns in your life that may negatively impact overall your wellbeing or prevent you from achieving an outcome you desire.

For me, therapy is a very collaborative process and we will work together towards your goals every step of the way. I am genuine, compassionate and engaged in the therapeutic process. I don’t sit idly but instead ask thought provoking questions and gently challenge you to reflect on patterns and behaviors.
